I have been eating way more than I should, but I am running like crazy. Ran another 5 miles last night. Yesterday I ate too much but not enough for it not to be burned up by a 5 mile run. Seriously.
My period must be starting because I literally gained 5 lbs overnight. Ran tonight a little, but my body was so tired. Me and a friend ran about a mile and then walked 2. Kind of disappointing, but I think my muscles are tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired. I'm trying not to freak about the fact that the scale says 160.8 at this moment. No freaking out. Just patience and hydration and little to no food tomorrow. Welll..... I might be in a situation where I have to eat dinner, but SALAD is what I will be sticking with. And hallelujah for carbonated beverages which fill one up. I know I can do this.
I HATE PLATEAUS!

ooooh. i hate plateus, too! I had finally broken mine and then all this deployment business caused a gain and now I have to break it again! but thinking positively! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine being able to run 5 miles, so BIG KUDOS!
Oooh, but carbonation makes your stomach bloated and junk? so you feel puffy and gassy.
ReplyDeleteIf I were you, I'd take a couple Benefiber Sticks in my purse, then pour one into an unsweetened ice tea before eating, then one into my water after eating, and just tell people that I'm trying to keep my blood sugar stable/prevent it from spiking.
You'd be surprised how supportive people are of weird food habits if you explain them in health related terms.
I'm vegetarian and allergic to dairy, so I can automatically reject eating tons of food. And I tell people my sister is prediabetic (true) so we both need to lose weight in order to protect ourselves from diabetes, and we can't eat bread or pasta. hahaha
Which, you know, is half true. I guess what I'm saying is, you don't have to be so worried about eating out with people if you have your really well crafted and believeable excuses for your food habits. ;)
